I visited Nashik after quite along time. There was no plan as t o how I will spent time there. It is very interesting situation. On 25th We went to Triambakeshwar. Btu this visit was completely disappointing. Why all our religious places are so dirty? All temples are in the hands of such people who just loot the devotees who come there with lot of trouble. Devotees comes to temples to get peace of mind but such people take advantage of such situation. In Triambakeshwar, they charge Rs. 100 for special darshan but still it takes more than 1.5 hours. If you want to go for normal darshan, then I do not how much time it will take and the place form where devotes are required to enter is to temple premises looks like big garbage dumping place. I saw cows and dogs roaming in the place and shitting everywhere.
The temple gets lot of money from donations and local grampanchayat gets from toll they charge and parking fees but there is no cleanliness in teh own. as usual condition of roads is also very bad. Parking place is full of tones making it difficult to even walk.
Then finally i decided that I will not go to temple but will go to some other temples - Godawari temple and Kushwarta kund. Those places were little better that original temple and then return back. I felt very good visting those temples and other few which I never visited in any of my ealrier visits e.g. Laxmi naraya temple and then Satyanaraya Temple. The idols were really very good and pleasant. The temples were very clean. There was very nice rangoli in from the Satyanaray temple. This was my first visit to these temples even did not knew that sch temples are there in trimbakeshwar.
Then I met one small cute animal - a puppy. If it would have been at some other place, then i would have cuddled him. But the place was not good so i have to resist my temptation.
While returning, we saw one small hut like shop selling hot milk, lassi, chhaas. As the place was in village, I was sure that quality of mil would be very good. hence tried and I was not disappointed. We could not get milk but got lassi.
It was just fantastic, cannot forget the taste.
We returned at about 1230 pm and then spent time in house remembering the old memories of parents. The lunch was at place called "Modern Cafe" on Gangapur road. Place is not very elegant but the taste and preparation was amazing. All dishes are very simple and homely taste. It was cost effective also. The bill for even people was not even Rs. 700.
Afternoon was sitting in the garden - though not maintained now - was bliss. This is real happiness. The evening dinner was with sister's house after long time. Spending time with family is really recharging. that is what i miss in Mumbai, in Mumbai there is no time for self and family. I really wish that I will leave Mumbai and go to some other place. I am loosing one day of life everyday spend in traffic. I really wonder what am I achieving if I am not able to spend time with family- wife, children, relatives and for myself. Does work and being in Mumbai is so important for life and happiness?
May be this is my resolve for 2015!!
Let me end today's story with beautiful sunset!!

ReplyDeleteOn d other hand, fully agree with ur observations on d temple surroundings n people managing it. I had similar experience few weeks back. Still can't forget d filth around d temple area n d greedy faces inside. Shame on us as a religion n as a culture !!
